A Dance of Healing & Purpose
My Sacred Story
My journey as a healer began with an innate connection to the spirit world, present since birth. But it was a 30-year dance with Lyme disease that became the truest forge for my soul's awakening. This intimate struggle taught me, on the most profound level, what it means to be chronically ill, to navigate burnout, and to dance with the possibility of death. I know the depletion that comes from operating out of balance and the strength it takes to keep going. I am a dancing miracle, and my healing journey is the foundation of my teaching.
As I healed, I became consumed by a greater vision. The planetary crisisā€”the destruction of our soils, the oppression, the greedā€”hit me hard. I saw this as a "David and Goliath" battle, and I realized that the way to course-correct is to return to the harmony we once lived in with nature. I sat with all of this knowledge, trying to figure out how to convey this blueprint that had lived inside of me for so long. Then, during a magical moment in lockdown, a powerful epiphany sparked the creation of Shen Holistic Academy. I am not here to change anyone; I am here to help them remember. The healing we need is already inside of us, waiting to wake up. This is what the New Earth Pioneer Masterclass does. It is a spiritual activation to the authenticity of your soul, so you can attune your frequency to the change you are meant to offer the world.
My Professional & Personal Journey
My path to becoming a holistic professional started early, from the age of seven, making hospital rounds with my Internal Medicine doctor father. By twelve, I knew I would be a healer, but differentlyā€”I had an insatiable appetite to learn about botanical medicine, ancient healing, and how to heal the whole person.
I am a self-proclaimed nerd of holistic health, and I was in training to serve others from age twelve until I was forty. My formal education includes a B.S. in Biology, an M.S. in Horticulture and Medicinal Plant Research, and an M.S. in East Asian Medicine. This foundation is complemented by over two decades of extensive training as a Shamanic Practitioner, as well as in Craniosacral, Herbal, and Energy Medicine. The culmination of my studies came with an immersion into the rich wisdom of Taoist medicine and Traditional Five Element Acupuncture. Since 2004, I have been teaching at the collegiate level and facilitating retreats in the Pacific Northwest, sharing this sacred knowledge with others.

Why I Do It
The seeds of Shen Holistic Academy were planted long ago, born from a vision Iā€™ve held since high school: this world needed a map to help recalibrate back into balance and harmony.
For thirty years, I have danced with death and chronic illness, a journey that has taught me what it truly means to heal from the inside out. I see every deep, complex condition as a soul crisis manifesting physically, even in nature. This intimate, personal understanding of healing and profound transformation has always been the foundation of my practice. As a healer, I found solace in my own steady presence, grounding my own passions in gardening, baking, painting, and moving my body. Yet, as a visionary, I have always known this personal journey was in service of a far greater mission.
In our modern world, we were taught to extort this precious home, and most don't know how to do it differently. I believe it is imperative that we find new direction and guidance to live as a new earth if we are to survive for generations to come. This Academy stems from a deep intention to help leave this planet better than I found it, a commitment I hold for the animals and plants that cannot speak for themselves. The New Earth Pioneer Masterclass is the birth of using ancient teachings, like the Five Elements, to awaken our true birthright as humans: to be stewards of this marvelous creation and to appreciate every breath, sight, and encounter as a sacred time on this earth.
This is far greater than CEUs. It is a mission to empower fellow practitioners to activate their spiritual purpose, become inspired leaders, and join me in fostering a sustainable future. Through this platform, we can heal ourselves and, in turn, heal the world.
